Syd had been bed ridden for months now, but she discovered that when she dreams she can travel to different worlds and fight monsters. There was one world that was overrun with moth-men, and another that was under siege by vampires, but her favorite were the dragons. Defeating them made her feel powerful, and taming the unwieldy beasts was her favorite past time. But when the dragons fight back, she is gravely injured in the dream world. She woke in her bed with a start and felt around for injuries. In the waking world, she was unharmed, but when she tried to go back to sleep she would only find her dying dream body, desperate for help…
