New Year Check List

“Know what you want in life and go after it. I worship individuals for their highest possibilities as individuals, and I loathe humanity, for its failure to live up to these possibilities.”

― Ayn Rand, Anthem

As the new year is rolling in, it’s a good time to reflect on what you want to accomplish. I’m not usually one for resolutions, so really this is just a check list. Take a moment today to make a list of the things you want to accomplish. It can be things you would be able to accomplish in a day, a month, maybe even the whole year, or perhaps longer than that. Don’t feel like you have to be confined by time. Your best work might take a year to complete, or maybe it’ll take five years or even ten. Don’t ever let yourself feel threatened by time. This year I hope to complete the first draft of my next poetry collection and my first fiction book, Anamnesis (the story of a post-apocalypses city that was destroyed by a cure-all experiment gone wrong. Some people went berserk while others developed supernatural powers and escaped. However, one man took all their memories in order to protect them from going berserk. More updates to come). Additionally, I want to start a YouTube channel to talk about reviews, tropes, and my favorite writing styles. I also want to make a skillshare account to teach creative writing, so I hope you’ll all tune in! But in the meantime, what will you do?
