Write about unlikely friends and their relationship. How do people view them? Do they think they’re weird? Do they act like siblings? Like a couple? What’s their favorite thing to do together. Write about an adventure they go on. Put them into a situation they’ve never been in. Push them to their limits. Make them uncomfortable. How do they react? How does it affect their relationship? This is an exercise in character and their reactions to one another so put them to the test. Stress them out.

If you’re having trouble coming up with new characters, pick you’re favorite duo from a book, movie, or TV show. This can help you develop character because you’re working with two characters that are already well rounded, you just have to imagine them in a new situation.
