He lives in an old abandoned apartment building. He hasn’t been outside in years. He eats scraps from the dumpster. The only one there to talk to it the cockroach on the wall. He’s named the cockroach Jeff. Jeff doesn’t move. He likes Jeff because he doesn’t talk back. He hasn’t heard another human voice in so long. Jeff disappears one day, so he talks to the wall where Jeff was. He imagines Jeff is just hiding and will come back soon. Jeff doesn’t come back. Someone else comes back instead.
