“Everyone’s in their own personal coma.”
— Chuck Palahniuk, Diary
Ever imagined what it’s like to be in a coma? Well, now’s your chance! To imagine it, I mean. White a short story about a character in a coma. They’re trapped in their own mind, what’s going on? Dreams are very difficult to explain, as I’m sure you know, try to go into detail about the strange, unnatural events the brain conjures up. Don’t be afraid to not make sense! Use this as an experiment with character. Being inside a character’s brain is the only way to truly know them. What are their deepest, darkest fears? Their secrets? Their regrets? Their happiest memories? Do they know they’re in a coma? Are they going about their day to day lives inside their head as they normally would? Go nuts!
