My neighbor may believe a lot of things, like He’s Jesus and Blue Jays are evil, but out of all the things he’s said to me, this has resonated the most. What superstitions, beliefs, or quirky practices does your OC have? Write about how they came to believe or practice these superstitions. The more original and concrete your superstition is, the more believable your character becomes. It doesn’t have to be anything outlandish, but remember that the person I just described is a real person. Rarely, is there such thing as “too strange” to believe. As Toni Morrison would say, “dream a little before you think.”
