Prompt: Word Games

“Sweet words are like honey, a little may refresh, but too much gluts the stomach.”

― Anne Bradstreet

Take a moment to write a list of your favorite words. They can be fun words like headbutt, complicated words like perspicacity, or something in between like billow. Try to write at least 15 words. Once you have all your words, write a sentence for each of them. But try using the words in new ways that you’ve never done before. For ‘billow,’ one might normally use it to talk about a sail, instead you could write, “grandma’s underpants billowed as she road the motor scooter.” Have fun!
