We are four days into 2020 and I’m already prepared to TAKE ON this year. I have a manuscript on its second draft and it will be my first major publication. I honestly hope all you little linguistic lizards are typing your hearts out this year because this could be the year of your publication too. Today’s post is to remind you that writing takes everything you’ve got. Your first draft is gonna SUCK, and it might break your heart, it might make you want to quit. You might get a lot of rejections this year that will make you want to quit. This is your sign to P E R S E V E R E. Your writing prompt today is to relax. Do something that makes you feel calm, and take a moment to write something that isn’t your main project. Write in a journal. Write about your day. Just write something new without any expectation of doing anything with it. You’ve got this. Make 2020 your bitch.
